Dope&Humble exists at the intersection of art, fashion, & activism. Our mission is to empower our customers with quirky, colorful, and attention-getting designs so they can make a statement without saying a word.
Our Founder.
Designer and founder Kate de Longpre' (that's me) discovered the power of bold accessories while living in NYC working in advertising. Having landed my dream job, I often struggled with "imposter syndrome," seeking to blend in rather than stand out. Then one day, I stumbled into a boutique and bought an oversized pair of banana earnings because — retail therapy. As soon as I wore the earrings out, I started receiving compliments. Suddenly instead of awkwardly hiding behind my phone, I was being approached by peers eager to compliment my earrings and start a conversation. I began wearing my bananas every time I needed a confidence boost, from dates and interviews to weddings and galas. Those earrings gave me the confidence to find my voice and start speaking up about things that mattered to me and, that's what I hope Dope & Humble co can do for others.
